.     Coffee dictionary:

  •  Espresso: is a concentrated coffee beverage made from Italian roast beans with a

               shiny, dark oily surface. (Crema)

  • Cappuccino: is an Italian coffee-based beverage which consist of 1/3 espresso, 1/3

       hot milk, and 1/3 frothed milk

  •    Macchiato: is an espresso with a drop of frothed milk. Macchiato means “stained”

               in Italian.

  • Latte: is a cup of coffee consisting of 1/3 espresso coffee and 2/3 steamed milk.

  • Grinder: is the machinery used to grind coffee beans

  • Portfilter: or filter holder is the coffee machine part  where coffee is placed to achieve an espresso.

  • Steam arm: is where the steam comes out, to steam or froth the milk, but can also be used to warm up beverages.

  • Roasting: is a chemical process by which aromatics, acids, and other flavour components are created, balanced, or altered in a way that should augment the flavour, acidity, aftertaste and body of the coffee as desired by the roaster.
